		Pinterest is a pinboard-style photo sharing website that allows users to create and manage theme-based image collections. Pinterest was named one of the top 50 websites of 2011 by Time magazine and according to Experian Hitwise it became the third largest social networking site in the United States in March 2012, behind Facebook and Twitter. I personally love pinterest. As an art director in advertising I find Pinterest is the perfect way to categorize my musings and research. I pin everything and anything and currently have over 100,000 followers and counting. It is exciting to be recognized for my curating abilities and I always try to pin unique content for myself and others. Being someone who creates for a living, I try to give others credit if I pin their work as often as possible by using picnic. I highly recommend it.
		I have some notable followers such as McDonald's, Ben & Jerry's, fashion design empire Diane Von Furstenburg, CNBC, the crazy kid's book company Klutz, a yummy diner in NYC Big Daddy's, the musician Goldfrapp, an extension of the Olympus camera brand, Kodak, Expedia, Shareable Mag and a very pinterest friendly design firm that makes adorable cards and things Sycamore Street Press among others. Also, one of my favorite brands REI is following me and invited me to be a contributor to their Get Outside community board.
		Once I was repinned by the New York Times. It was very exciting.
		Here is a close up of the pin that was repinned by the New York Times. That's my mom holding a strawberry shortcake. She was also very excited to be pinned by the New York Times. As was my dad for her, even though he doesn't know what the Internet is let alone Pinterest.
		My biggest claim to fame on pinterest though is I was repinned by the founder Ben Silbermann. You can see the colorful pots in the feed and recent activity.
		I was repinned by the founder Ben Silbermann who was named #18 in CNN money and Fortune magazine's 40 under 40 in 2012. Running closely behind Mark Zuckerberg. I got a little excited that day!
