When we met, my boyfriend and I lived 2,500 miles apart and we embarked on a whirlwind bi-coastal romance. During my visits to Portland he taught me how to brew beer. Naturally, I couldn't help myself and designed labels for our beer and that’s how Aeroplane Brewing Company was born. All beers are made with grain, hops and adventurous spirit.

Our favorite album is In the Aeroplane Over the Sea, and the logo was meant to reflect the cover's fantastical, old-timey, turn of the century art. The plane is inspired by the Handley Page Gugnunc wooden biplane from 1929.
